I haven't been updating and commenting much - partly because I still haven't got internet at home and the explorer at work doesn't like LJ much.
The icons seem a bit boring, should upload new ones.
Books:
* Graham Chapman's A Liar's Autobiography arrived a couple of weeks ago. It's very funny, very interesting, quite touching and wonderfully written. I like how open he is about his homosexuality.
* bought Terry Pratchett's Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents. Lovely. The only two things that distinguish it from his 'adult' books is that the main characters are not grownups and the text is simpler. Otherwise there's just as much playing with well-known plots and just as many deaths.
* bought Michael Palin's diaries 1969-1979. Felt a bit embarrassed about being so much of a fangirl, but they're very nice.
* one of the books I sleep with is Vladimir Nabokov's Ada. I love it, and so I keep rereading it. It disturbs me a bit when people call Nabokov and Henry Miller 'erotic literature'. I think it's simply literature.
Movies:
* bought A Fish Called Wanda and can't stop watching it.
Health:
* sort of managed to get rid of whatever it was that I had last week (cold, I think). The cough is almost gone.
* not happy about chest pains, dizziness and shaking. Should go and see the doctor (for the first time in very very many years).
Just... stuff:
* the bachelor thesis keeps eating away at what's been left of my nerves. I'm trying to pull myself together and finish it as fast as I can.
* the people who used to live in the flat before have left a number of things there including a vacuum cleaner that doesn't work and two huge bags of clothes. Still haven't got rid of those.
* was pleasantly surprised to see two girls kissing in public transport and everyone else being indifferent. I keep imagining for some reason that everyone is horribly homophobic around here.
