Doe eye pod problems

Feb 23, 2007 15:23

I just got back from the eye doctor*. Every time I go, they ask me if I have a thyroid problem. No, I say, I just live in wide-eyed wonder. I spent too much money there, but at least now I'll be able to wear contacts again and when I do have to wear glasses they wont hurt me. Someday, mark my words, someday I'll have health insurance with a vision package (and dental, maybe)!

Also, they can't fix my iPod! Drat! Apparently there was water damage, and it wasn't the battery that was the problem. I was really, really looking forward to that too. I was thinking yesterday about how nice it would be able to leave my ginormous book of cd's at home now and I'd readily have all the music I haven't put on disc at the tips of my fingertips, and... nothing.

I forgot to list Batman (1966) in my favorite movies. I only add that now because the last sentence of the last paragraph is supposed to be said in the voice of Frank Gorshin (The Riddler).

What else? Allison and I are going to Niagara Falls on Tuesday! I've never been, and I decided I needed a day trip. I'll be sure to take pictures. If anyone else wants to come, they're welcome to.

Heather, Molly and I made the most delicious pasta last night. It was penne with spinach, tomatoes, black olives, and feta cheese. Feta cheese, while I love it in Greek salads and such, was never something I would have considered putting on pasta/having warmed, however since last night's dinner was highly successful, I will in the future! I heart cheese.

There are a myriad of other things, but I think I'm done for now. Wal-mart psychically excised my excess glee, the bastards. I would kind of like to nap.

Before I do, though, I need to tell you something. Our move has been delayed, by at least a month. One of our party is having health issues that are being addressed. Everyone but Allison is bummed about it, but c'est la vie. We will get there when we do. I miss it though. Everyday I wish I were there.

* Eyes are funny; they are filled with humor! ... It's an anatomy geek thing, sorry.

moving (forward), someday, ladies, i'd rather be sleeping, movies
