HELP, again, please!
Jesus. I've never had a computer like this.
It's extremely slow, so I thought I'd clean up and defragment- I've sat and watched it defrag to up to 16% for THREE hours. It keeps saying there is something writing to the disk, changing the contents of the disk, etc- but there is nothing open, and I'm superstitiously not even touching the computer. Do I let it go overnight? I tried booting up in safe mode, and while that got it to START defragging (it wouldn't go past 0% before), it doesn't help with the constant restarting. Do I have a virus? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS MACHINE?!?
and it's loud- the fan, or the drive, or something makes a decently loud buzzing sound. whhrrrrr-whrrr-whhhhhhrrrrrrrrrrr.
Please help me be less frustrated at work. At least with the office equipment.
