YAY!

I got pizza in the mail today! It was such a great surprise. My parents sent Lou Malnati's pizza to me.

It was a great day for gifts at work too. The MillerCoors company brought everyone in the Marketing department gift baskets of beer. It also came with fancy chocolate and a santa hat! It was so sweet. They even personalized the cards. Usually I'm not included in these gifts since I'm 1) new and 2) still referred to as their intern. It was such a wonderful surprise to see a gift basket with my name on it :)

I also got candy, a gift card, a bottle of wine and a fancy Christmas wine stopper from various people in my department. I'm getting so fat from working there. We go out to eat a lot and I eat a lot of Maggiano's which is by no means healthy food - but it's damn delicious!

Sadly we have finished all our wine tastings. We had about a month solid of 3 wine tastings a week. Not many jobs require you to spend the last hour and a half of your day drinking. It's rough, but someone has to do it! Plus it was tasting for our "Captain's List" which is the super expensive wine list so everything we tasted was very VERY good.

I do love my job :) I hope that I never have to leave! I meet on Monday to go over all my reviews so I cross my fingers that they're good. I know where I stand with my supervisor but just b/c she likes me doesn't mean that everyone else will agree. I work my butt off and I just hope that it recognized. I am interested though to see where I can improve. It's been such a great learning experience!

I'm flying to Chicago for Christmas on Tuesday and I'm very excited to visit everyone. I had to use my credit with Southwest before the year ended so this was a perfect opportunity! Joe has to work the whole time so he'll be staying here in Texas. I don't think we could have afforded a plane ticket for him anyways. We're lucky that we had the credit or we wouldn't be able to afford sending me either! Let's just hope that the weather allows for my flights to arrive and leave on time!
