(no subject)
Ok, I suppose you all deserve a decent update, but seriously, I do nothing. I work, I see friends, I spend time with my family, I'm having fun. So in no particular or coherent order, here are some, not nearly all, things I've been doing.
About a week or so ago I went to Ulhman's with Liz and Sarah, and we sat at that picnic table around back and talked for 3 hours. It was unbelievable. It was the first time I'd seen Liz since graduation, and we had a good time catching up. We aren't close anymore, but it's nice to know we still have fun, and worthwile conversations.
I also went to Milton with the family for a family reunion type thing, where some of my mother's family was up from Florida, so we all had a party at Bella and Fran's, which was fun, as was giving Megan all kinds of college advice when she starts DUKE in a few weeks.
Sarah, Amy and I rented Kill Bill, but the dvd was scratched, so it took us one hour to watch an hour and a half long movie. But we got a voucher anyway from Blockbuster for a free rental. The parts I saw of Kill Bill were decent, sometimes it seemed like a good movie, other seemed like it was completely gratuitous violence with no redeeming features whatsoever. That's basically how I felt about Pulp Fiction, although everyone else in the world loves that movie, so maybe I just missed something.
The family has been doing a shitload of cycling to get ready for our Vermont bike tour and Montreal trip in late August. Today we went for 38 miles in the pouring down rain, got lost, and discovered it was completely dry in Westborough when we got back home. I also nearly died when a squirrel almost ran under my front wheel while I was descending at over 30mph. Literally.
Dan and I have been trying to figure out when we can hang out, but we're just too busy! So speaking of Dan, I'm going to call him before I have to go babysit.
