Oh man I nearly forgot about that one XDkatzedecimalDecember 16 2011, 01:19:56 UTC
All in all, it wasn't a bad way to spend a birthday. It could have been worse. It had been worse, thinking of the time he'd been grounded after pounding the piano and singing off-key at the tops of his lungs to make the guests leave from the ridiculously ostentatious society party his parents had thrown, theoretically for him but really for themselves.
He felt sorry for the museum though. Their humidity and temperature controls had to be fritzed, what with the ice melting and the heat gun blasts playing havoc. Digger throwing the Tyrannosaurus femur was pretty good though, the guards looked so surprised. Nobody could figure out why Desmond was so convinced that the Triceratops coprolite was a twin to his alchemical potato, but Piper wasn't about to tell him what he was actually waving around while screaming about turning the Flash's blood to mercury in his veins.
"Think they'll let us out soon?"
"Yup. I've almost got this figured out," Piper looked up from his birthday present and grinned, "You light-fingered bastard. How'd you know about this?"
Trickster grinned and shrugged modestly, "Found a reference to it in the records and followed the paper trail. They thought it was a flugelhorn."
"And the Rogues?"
Trickster shrugged again, "I knew they were planning to hit the tour of pre-contact boomerangs."
"Nice," Piper grinned. Then he put the Ocarina of Time to his lips and began to play.
