Lacking "snow day"

Jan 28, 2009 14:27

Yesterday it snowed and today we had a school delay because of dangerous ice!

Until 10.

I work at 10.

So, that was kind of not what I hoped for (and Wyatt had off Army!!). We have been watching a lot of Arrested Development.

I'm in the library waiting for my next class to start, finishing my Chinese essay for tomorrow. Really, that's about all that's up. Homework and snow. That and I have a cold, so I'm looking forward to the weekend.

Here's the classes I'm taking this semester, as an example of my thrilling academic career (really. thrilling):

Chinese Advanced Conversation and Composition II, writing credit

Intro to East Asia Past and Present (International Affairs) - a freshman level class for Asian Studies, which is ALWAYS scheduled during Chinese. I had to switch into the composition class because I need to take this credit and refuse to take it senior year. Totally pointless and boring class in which we discuss such wonders as "where China is". Seriously. And someone asked on the first day "Wait... you mean Chinese ISN'T AN ALPHABET? How can they have no alphabet???"
........

Intro to Russia and Eastern Europe (International Affairs) - see above about lame intro classes, but at least it's not Asian

Comparative Politics of South Asia - intelligent discourse, yay!

International Relations of East Asia (Political Science) the infinitely better version of the Intro to International Affairs class!
