Twilight
Finally saw Twilight! Omg, the LINE to get in the moviehouse was insane--and that was for blocked screening! I think people forgot that it was first day screening, and bought all their tickets ahead of time without knowing they could actually distribute themselves in other cinemas instead of crowding into one @_@ And my gosh, squealing ladies abound! Warning!
Several things that I liked about the movie:
1. The ladies' reaction to seeing Carlisle's "grand" entrance surprised me: Literal gasps and "Oh my gosh ang guwapo"-s! --much more than when Edward came in!
2. The baseball game, it's better than I imagined it
3. Omg the vampires' stares, one could see how deeply the Cullens were thinking just through the eyes and expressions. Robert Pattinson can literally melt someone with those eyes @_@ Didn't like how Bella looked though, she looked like she was trying hard to stare-but-not-really
4. Charlie's a really funny dad :)) Again, better than I imagined him. Mike Newton was also a laugh.
5. The final fight scene: thought it was the I-saw-everything-on-the-trailer type, but I was pleasantly surprised to see more action. Lots of "Ow!"-s and "Sakit!"-s from the audience too =))
6. Super kilig kissing scenes, but more because Edward was convincingly repressing emotions haha~
7. Alice, Emmett and Rosalie were exactly as I imagined them! Jasper...was not.
Just 8/10 stars though.
I think the movie lacked the substance that the book was known for, and would have actually been better if they included Edward's perspective and developed the characters--at the very least, the Cullens--more. More music in the background would have also helped the cut-to-cut scenes transition more smoothly into the next. The soundtrack was already good, they should have used more of it :)
Still getting the DVD--it's a good a visual novel to add to my collection! Weee~
