Strictly Final - Part One
And it's the final! The Hobbit v The Hunk!
Ricky & Natalie - Quickstep
I've been trying to figure what it is about Natalie that I don't like and I think it's that there just doesn't seem to be anything behind her eyes, she's a bit soulless and that's how I find her dancing, flawless but soulless. And that's also how I'd characterise their Quickstep, flawless but soulless. I'd disagree with Len, not the best Quickstep in SCD history - for me Tom Chambers' had a lot more flare.
Cola - Foxtrot
Just lovely, made me smile as always. Not flawless but tons of flare. And I don't normally like the Foxtrot, find it a bit dull compared to the other dances, maybe because it's more technical, but I loved that!
Lindyhop
R&N - did the steps well but there was no sense of fun, they didn't pull off the comedy elements at all they just looked stilted. And what happened with that lift? Her legs just got stuck or something?
Cola - So much fun! Really kept up with R&N and ok you could see Chris wasn't as technically good, but it had so much more fun and I thought the dance suited them a lot more. It just had more bounce. And bless Chris, "We'll take anything. 6's, anything. They all add up!" (bet you wouldn't get that from the Fembot!)
The Returns
It's weird, I totally forgot some people were in this year! Like Rav and Martina (though I did appreciate a nice shot of the Cutler chest!)! Was it just me or did Craig have a smirk on his face like "how good am I? I should have been in the Final!" Erm no Craig, just no. Poor Flavia!
Jade & Ian - glad they gave them the full 90 seconds for the Tango, anything less would have been a travesty. And what a 90 seconds! Loved them dancing to Duran Duran (despite the Strictly "Singers" managling View to a Kill) and she looked fabulous. Such a fab Tango, she would have been amazing. She would have definitely been a Finalist I'm sure, such a shame.
And oh dear god, somebody gave Brucie a microphone! On the plus side Alesha looks stunning! Such a beautiful dress. That duet didn't really work though did it. And poor Alesha looked like she couldn't wait to get away but Brucie was holding tight.
And now we have to wait for the second half and the showdances! Plus Cola's Charleston! I can hardly wait!
