The madness continues...

I was prepared for February to be a bit mental and it hasn't disappointed so far. The whole house-buying escapade that we have decided to subject ourselves to is still in the fun exciting stage, although we did go to view our first house on Saturday, not expecting it to be perfect, but more as a practise exercise - but it turned out to be a complete hole. I knew before I'd even set foot inside the place that I'd rather live in a horsebox than there, but we made the nice small talk you're expected to make and remarked on how the property had 'potential', before cursing the estate agents all the way home for their flippant remark on the paperwork 'needs a little re-decoration.'

We will learn.

I lived in the States for 10 months before going to uni and the female half of the couple I stayed with when I was over there is currently staying with us. It was an exhausting weekend. Do you ever feel like someone listens TOO MUCH? She insists on talking about politics, war, and just exactly WHY everyone hates Americans/George Bush etc for HOURS on end, and waits expectantly for our opinions before trashing them soundly. She is here until Friday, I am counting the days.

I feel really mean now, she is a really lovely lady, just a little intense. I think my tiredness is speaking for me.

Hey ho, this weekend should be a cracker though, Stephen's birthday on Monday so we have the day off, and a good excuse to get extreeeemely plastered all weekend. Oh, and we're going to see a Metallica tribute band on Friday night - quality. It's free, don't worry :o)
