I'm in Halifax, and it's so good to be home. Especially since home right now is STORMY! Hurricane Noel is on his way - he's practically here, in fact - and the wind and rain are making me giddy. My father and I plan to go to the coast tomorrow morning and take pictures of the waves - apparently they're already almost 40 feet. I can even forgive Noel for ruining my party plans tonight.
All day today the city was buzzing with that special energy that comes before a storm. At the market this morning there was a feeling of community that I feel is impossible in a city like Toronto. I love the way people smile at you and say hello. Also I'm pretty sure people in Halifax are better looking. I really need to move back.
