Hey everyone,
Well I’m back in Bangalore for a week yay! Unfortunately the week at the women’s shelter was quite what I was hoping for. The place is beautiful though. My favorite part though is they use cow dung paste to solidify the walls and then they paint these beautiful pictures on the paste. This past weekend has been a lot of fun. Yesterday I went shopping for the longest amount of time in my life but I got some wonderful things including my one saree! Because getting more than one would just not be smart because how often can I really wear one. I didn’t get a silk one but I still love it and can’t wait to wear it. Buying a saree is an experience though. First you have to look through a bunch of shops to find the one you want. And then you have to go get the ends tailored/hemmed. And then you have to go buy a blouse, and petticoat. You end up going to like 4-5 different places when all is said and done. After shopping we all went out for some good old American food well at least the Indian version of American food. Overall it was pretty amazing though. Then I went out with some of the other girls to a spa lounge bar type place. Basically it’s a restaurant tat has a dance club in one part and large comfy couches in the other part. It was fun but a little long of a night. Anyways today we just got to lounge about do things like laundry, exciting stuff like that. I hope you all are doing well! Hope to talk to you soon
