The UPDATE

WHEW! It's been so long since I've written anything in my lj. Sad, but this summer has been so unbelievably busy and unexpected that I haven't found time to just sit and write a blog about it. When I am on the computer, I generally find other things to do with my time that are, honestly, more important. I've noticed that probably the same thing has happened with all of you. I miss hearing about your lives through this convenient form of communication.

Since the last time I've posted, I've taken new responsibilities in all areas of my life. I've acquired a fiancee, my dear sweet Joshua whom I love dearly and because of that I am spending much time away from the house. It's funny how my social life has changed. In fact, tonight Josh and I are taking cute Lindsay on a "date" with us. We are going to go to dinner and then are gonna play soccer at the park. Lindsay is starting soccer in the fall, and Joshua (being the Nigerian that he is) is gonna show her some moves. We're all looking forward to tonight because it is going to be SUPER FUN!

The job is going well. Natalie is starting to walk a bit (with some help) and she is stinkin' cute! Everyday I am blessed by the way that she loves me...and we have a lot of laughs together. Lindsay is busy with the new neighbors and play dates. We try to get outside a lot and enjoy the weather while it lasts. She is full of spunk and her lessons to be learned this week are better listening skills. She's funny: this morning she woke up and said "You know what today is!!!" referring to our date tonight with Joshua. And then she wanted to take the empty garbage cans back to their place. So she ran into the bedroom and changed out of her pjs and put on a cute red gingham outfit. After she took the garbage back, she came in and I realized that her shirt had been put on backwards the whole time!!! So we just switched it around. She really wanted me to share that story with all of you.

Also, and this is the last thing... I have taken on the job of children's education coordinator at Bridgeway. It's a good thing, but I'm feeling slightly overwhelmed by the meetings and other stuff that I have to do right now. This combined with my job combined with wedding stuff plus trying to maintain personal relationships with others is making for a not very fun summer. Something needs to change quick. I'm expecting that it will, within the next few weeks. Looking forward to that a lot. It's good to be in ministry, but not good to forget about the source of all my joy and the reason why I do this stuff. What I need to do is take better control of my time management and have better focus.
Which means that I should pry get off of the lj and get to work today. It wouldn't be so bad if Lindsay were in school, because then i could get more stuff done during the day. As it is now, she is always asking me to play and entertain her. Part of my job, yes...but I also need to do other things too.

Please be praying for me, all my friends. I would really appreciate any encouragement in that area.
I am thinking about you all a lot--- looking forward to coming home at the end of september...and hoping that God is blessing you college students as you prepare to go back to school. How fun! I love fall at MSU.
Love ya lots--- Katya
