Long time no update
Wow a lot happens over a few weeks. I'll try to fill you in...
-I went to court. Brian agreed to settle so we didn't have to go through the whole sentencing process (yes he actually showed up). So I won and he has to pay me the entire amount by Oct 1. And this is legally binding. So if he doesn't, he can be arrested and stuff. He was really funny, but just to sum up, he tried to blame everything on Sarah. I'm just glad its over.
-I saw Garden State finally. Those of us on the East Coast had to wait an extra three weeks after the LA release to see it in Atlanta. I still don't think its made it to smaller markets. But yes, it was really worth the wait. We're going to see it again this week. so so good.
-Chris and I went to Texas. It was a really fun trip. We drove to San Antonio. It took two days there and back and we stayed in New Orleans both nights on the road. The first night we just stayed in a days inn, but on the way home we found a coupon for one of the really really old hotels downtown in the french quarter so we stayed there for only $10 more. It was so neat!! We went to Bourbon Street and went to a casino. I won $.05. That's right, I walked in there with $2 and left with $2.05. The lady at the cash window actually laughed at me, but I was really happy. Chris wasn't so lucky. He lost his $2. but he says that we really broke even b/c they gave us a lot of free coke while we were there. If you're wondering why Texas, its because Chris has family there. and they were really great. they paid for everything we did, which was an unexpected blessing. And the city is very old and beautiful. I saw the alamo. and the river walk. and a lot of other neat stuff.
-School has begun. I'm taking a full 18 hour load. But it doesn't seem so bad b/c i have long breaks during the days. Monday-Thursday. only a few more semesters. I can do it!
-Maura is home. That makes me happy.
