So, no, Prop 8 has nothing to do with schools. It has everything to do with restricting rights. Prop 22 was overturned because it violated the state constitution. Anyhow, I am glad that the superindentant of schools is on record and on TV denying these stupid claims.

Also, over 75% of the funding for the "Yes on Prop 8" campaign seems to have come from the Church of Latter-Day Saints and its members in a bid to help Mormon candidates become more accepted by the religious right base as true social conservatives. (See here.)

Gay marriage will not cause the end of the world. That's the job of asteroids and supervolcanoes.
