The return of our photogenic faces

Here I am at the computer, in the last picture the human took before noticing the "low battery" indicator in her camera several weeks ago. This led to what has been the longest undocumented period of GretaCat's and my young lives.

That sad period ended today when two wonderful events happened: 1) the human got home from work early enough to let us into the backyard for awhile, and 2) she put new batteries in the camera. This allowed her to get some Halloween photos of us. In the one below we are attempting to capture the dead bird on the other side of the fence. It seemed an appropriate Halloween activity.

Some time after that, as the human was busy carving a pumpkin and paying only partial attention to us, both GretaCat and I were able to get over the fence and head toward the bamboo jungle at the back of the yard. The human was not pleased. She raced after us, scooped us up and deposited us over the fence, then hurried into the house and back outside so she could get us into the house before we scrambled over the fence again. What can I say? Our little taste of freedom was fun while it lasted.
