Finally, I know the title of the song with those lyrics: It’s Change the World by Eric Clapton. I knew that it sounded familiar when I heard it on MYX this morning, and I listened to the rest of it. While waiting for Dad to let me use the computer (around an hour, I think), I watched the dubbed (Tagalog -- ugh) version of Gundam Seed -- it was the episode when Athrun and Cagalli met each other on the desert island -- as well as Yu-Gi-Oh. Whee. ♥ I might fangirl over Kaiba again. ;D
‘No one truly knows happiness who has not suffered, and the redeemed are happier than the elect.’ - Henri Amiel -- I think that this is a very pretty quote! :D I was looking through a book with quotes earlier and this is one of the stuff I found about happiness.
Anyway, a random poem thing -- kind of Malik/Anzu, but it's just.. general-ish. Yeah. It's not even obvious that it's from Yu-Gi-Oh!, and can be passed off as normal, ordinary, average poetry. ♥
Puppeteer
He took over all that she had --
Her body and her soul;
He controlled whatever had used
To make the brown-haired girl feel whole.
With every passing moment,
He seemed to be tearing her apart.
There was only one thing safe inside her:
It was her lovely, precious heart.
So why then did she forgive him?
Why does she, quite gently, smile?
Why would she for him -- or any other --
Gladly go the extra mile?
She knows that every person has
‘Skeletons in the closet’ to hide;
But also, she smiles, a bit of goodness,
Buried not so deep and far inside.
I'll be changing some of my Userpics soon. ♥ I found one that's really cute by yokokaru_chan, I think? :D I changed some also over at my IC!Anzu's journal. I really need to find an icon with Anzu just smiling (an icon that doesn't move -- you know?). The chocolate-brown one I'm using as her smiley-one just doesn't give off the Anzu aura well enough.
