As she headed towards the lake, she couldn't remember being more scared. Well, yesterday, during the battle, of course, but that was war. This, this, was personal.
The lake - where they had spent so much time together. The first time he kissed her, without an audience, had been there. He had broken up with her there.
He hadn't really meant it, had he? She didn't think so, but it had been almost a year ago.
He was there; she'd known he would be. He turned and smiled, hugging her to him. "I missed you," he whispered.
Her fears were unfounded.
