Loved the episode soooooooo much! I really didn't like S8 at all, but those last two episodes? GOLD!

The last few episodes were golden. Not much to complain there. Guess they needed to find their footing first

Yup, if they don't throw the damn key away... Grandaddy Winchester was well cast - there was definitely a look of both Dean and JDM there.

Yes, I think the casting of relalted characters is something they are really good at. But it realtives or yonger versions of the same character.

Although they don't seem to capitalise on the knowledge they accumulate! But I did rather like this ep, and indeed the last one. Now that they have wrapped the irritating twin distractions of Benny (well obv he might have to be killed at some point) and Amy (and can I say, both those actors were rather annoying) the quality of the episodes has significantly improved!

I still don't really know what was up with the beginning of the season. Some of it was just strange and not needed. Or not given enough playtime to give it real meaning. A lot of guess-work needed for fans there. But these last few episodes were golden. Let's hope it was just the new team-leader finding his footing.

I wish they'd go back to John's locker or the Campbell library. I think they are just going to rely on this new set and that's it. Sad really.

IMHO they should combine them all. Add all those other resources to their new huge library.
They still rely heavily on John's journal. But they rarely use the Campbell library (only that one time to find the Phoenix-story) or what's left of Bobby's library (still left somewhere in Sherriff Mills car?) as far as we can see.
