Who the FUCK is going into my patio every night and destroying my flowers?  I just found an entire flowerbed full of decapitated irises and lilies. This is second time it's happened in the past 2 weeks. The irises are always weak and don't grow well up here, but they are a tribute to my aunt and now I won't get to see them bloom. The lilies are

Because I know everyone is soooooooooo interested in this (or rather, y'all enjoy seeing me get good & pissed off), here's more. The cop was very nice and we chatted for quite some time. He told me where to go find a motion detector light that will record video for 20 sec at a time when the light is activated. So, that's our Friday night! Dinner out at a nice restaurant, and then on to Sam's Club to buy this light and hook it up while our vandal is on a roll.

I've been thinking about it, and I have a suspect. Rather than the friends of the teenage boy next door, I think it's the newspaper boy. He has been caught vandalizing the property before (turning on all the water hoses/sprinklers while on his route) and he was discplined or docked pay, or something. I think he's maybe a bit off-kilter, but I've tried to be nice. I even left him a bag of mardi gras beads once when he asked for some (he had seen them outside for mardi gras decor) A few weeks ago, I caught him outside about 6 am throwing rocks around the front yard and on the sidewalk, really hard. I ran outside to tell him to stop, and he asked me for more beads. I said no, I already gave you some, but next time I have them out I'll leave a few. Shortly after that, the vandalism around our house - specifically, the flowers - and around other townhomes started. Hmmm....

But yeah, we'll wait and see what we catch on video.
