So a few weeks ago I've been crazy out of my mind and been urging for a new games really bad, I don't know why. I actually went through a lot of games these weeks, lets say almost a month, just because of my stupid urge. I shall share my adventure going through games within the last 3-4 weeks (cause I'm bored xD).
So lets see if I can put this in a timeline..
I started getting back into Black & White 2 since it's been sitting on my desktop for ages. I passed a world or 2 before I got bored and the urge came back.
I might of played Sims 3: Pets before or after, I forgot. But I only gave it a good 2 hours. Good thing I know not to buy them :)
I tried out Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy?) the older game before Heavy Rain (which I really liked). I'm a fan of story in games, so this was well talked about. I got into it but I couldn't pass a part due to the character's high stress level and I think I had to redo many parts again but one part I hated so much. This game is probably easier on console with a controller.
Steam had a deal on GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas that I bought right away. It was 8 dollars total, but I already have both on PS2 xD. Vice City is my 2nd all time favorite game ever. I loved it so much that I know the map by heart, and I didn't want to play because of how much I still remember :/. So I played San Andreas since I never got to finish a game due to a glitch when I was very far into the story! I think I only played a total of a few hours.
Then I checked up on the Nancy Drew game series, that I've been a fan of since their very first games. The recent ones were ehh, but then I saw the trailer for Nancy Drew: Alibi in Ashes. Gameplay looks really different from their usual, and you could play as 4 people. This excited me as I hoped the series were going back to being great, but I got bored of it really quickly too Dx!
But then, playing GTA & Nancy Drew drove me crazy since I've played their series, so it didnt feed this demon new-game-urge. I then saw Deus Ex: Human Revolution. And I was like hey, something I never played, good ratings, and found a deal for it for around $20. I got it..played one mission, did not like. I hate how stupid the guards are, and I was playing normal, and it seem unrealistic when you're trying to stealth and you crouch infront of something, but your whole head and upper torso is showing (especially on the stairs railings) and no one notices a thing.
THIS led me to continue Hitman Blood Money, that has also been sitting on my desktop for eons. Deus Ex really reminded me of the Hitman series, which is one of my favorite series too. I got stuck on Blood Money on that Bird mission, so I finally started trying it out again. I had to use a walkthrough for this mission, but once I passed it the other ones I was able to do and it was fun. I finished the game finally! But i hate when games end, so sad. Which is why I like Sims xD. I saw trailers for the next Hitman Revelation coming out in 2012. I'm excited but don't want to get my hopes too high, since the trailer made it reaaaaalllly feel like a Splinter Cell game. I loved the earlier Splinter Cells, but I hope Hitman stayed with their own style, that's what got me into the series in the beginning, and not lean to the more generic FPS style :/
Last weekend I expressed that I needed a new game AGAIN to my boyfriend. It was the weekend before my birthday and he surprised me by saying he would get me Elders Scroll: Skyrim, since I expressed my interest in it. This was addicting right away. It's great so far, besides a bug where FPS drops to like 10 if you enter and exit a building too much, then you'll need to restart. Seems like many have this problem. One thing though, I wish you an feed your horse & pet it! I mean, theres so many apples and carrots lying around! I think this game finally capped my stupid urge.
There were many games that came out the day before my birthday, Nov 15th. Yesterday I bought Saints Row the Third since that has been on my wishlist since the beginning of this year. I have yet to play, which I will be doing right after this!
I also kinda want Rayman Origins, but I haven't touched my PS3 in ages. I mainly want it because of the animation. I've never seen a game animation so awesome before. I think only animation majors/ those who learn animation can notice these the way I do. Watching the trailer alone was already amazing. I would love to work for them if they continue to do this kind of 2D animation. I'm not sure if I'm going to get it anytime soon though.
Anyways, I think my quest to find new games finally completed with Skyrim & Saints Row. I HOPE YOU ARE HAPPY NOW, KATHLEEN'S MIND. That also meant I've neglected my Sims 2 game for a good week so far. I hope my simmies don't hate me :(
If you have any questions on opinions or whatever for the games I played, feel free to ask!
