Saw Martha Wainwright last night. She was her usual beautiful, radiant, passionate self. I probably don't need to reiterate things I've written about her in the past, so I'll just link to my last review. how did you manage to sneak your camera into the enmore? i know they're usually really strict about it.

I've never had any problem taking and using my camera at the Enmore...

Yeah, I was happy about the shirt :D When he sang the last line of "Closing Time", which is, "every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end", he pointed to Obama's name :)

really! i haven't tried to bring a camera in for awhile now, but a few years ago security always made me check in my bag if there was camera in side it. or if i managed to take it in, they'd tap me on the shoulder to ask me to stop taking photos.

I've only ever had that happen to me at the Metro, when the band has specifically requested no photography. Or at like fancier theatres. I can't remember anyone ever caring at the Enmore.

She actually said there was a mix-up with their luggage and they had no stage clothes, so she borrowed that top from a local designer. As soon as she walked out on stage, someone in the crowd yelled, "Martha, are you pregnant?" and she was said that Brad (her bass player and husband) must have been smiling to himself because he told her that shirt made her look fat. Haha.

also, did you stay for her second encore? do you know if rufus actually came on stage for the last song??

I stayed for the whole thing, and there was no Rufus present.
