This is the world we live inI'm going to warn you that the above article contains distressing descriptions of the dog and cat fur trade in China. It's now having attention drawn to it because Paul McCartney has spoken out after seeing a videotape of the way the animals are treated - thrown from a distance onto concrete, beaten, boiled and skinned

Sorry, but we need people to react like this. Why don't you use that emotion to inspire you to do something about it, like write a letter to the Chinese government, or donate some money to an animal welfare organization?

What I wrote was purposely not gratuitous. If the mere mention of animal suffering bothers you that much, maybe you should not read on when you realize a post is about animal cruelty.

And I'd appreciate it if you didn't shout at me in my own journal.

the capitals happened by mistake as i was too upset, i dont agree showing such information without a previous warning: its not me the criminal, is that clear why shall i become more disturbed if i sign all petitions for all rights for animals , if you make one i'll sign immediately but my mental health has no conditions to read such a thing.

Then instead of reading a post which you know is about animal cruelty (it's in the subject line, even) and then getting upset over it, simply don't read it.

I believe people need to be confronted with these things. Just because you aren't reading about it doesn't mean it isn't happening. I'm sorry that you find it traumatizing, but I'm more concerned for the welfare of these animals.
