(no subject)
Hey guys!
Well, everyone has had this whole week off school for 'skiing holiday' time, though i did not go skiing. instead i went to Malmö (20min train trip from Lund) to celebrate rotary turning 100. So of course there was a formal Rotary concert with the best musicians from Sweden and Scandinavia on show, which was better than i expected. but the best part was i got to hang out with 3 other aussie exchange students and 1 canadian exchange student for 3 days!! we did a bit of sightseeing, which turned into more shopping than anything else. and the rest of the time we pretty much talked non-stop! Caitlyn (16 from Melbourne), Casey (16 from Grafton), Felicity (17, from Brisbane) and Josh (17 from Canada) and i all got along soooooooooooooo well... we are planning to meet up soonish, since we all live within 20 or 30min train rides from each other. also in Malmö i regressed to my organisation obsession when i finally found an expandable file system (which i had been looking for all over lund). i almost kissed the guy serving me coz i was so happy! *cringes* some things never change hey?
Things are starting to settle down, and I am finding more time to just relax, but then it leads to thinking about home. its mostly the people that i miss, and the history that i know about them. like i know that i could have a whole conversation to someone about an event that happened three years ago (such as the year 10 formal), but here, even going back three weeks and i am out of the loop. i also miss how cheap it is to go out for thai food (here its double the price), and how nice it was to catch a movie (again, try almost doubling the price!). well, anyway the plan is to keep busy so i don't have time to be nostalgic.
