So, I got some cool plant this week! I got a pitcher plant and some sundews, which are carnivorous and eat bugs! And I got some epiphytes, aka air plants, and I am really looking forward to this little project. I planted the sundews and pitcher plants in a mix of 50% peat and 50% perilite, with moss on the surface to keep them moist. I didn't know if any of the greenhouses/garden centres carried live moss, so to save myself gas and driving with retarded Saskatoon drivers I decided to call around. I have never been been treated so rudely! Seriously, I just wanted to know the answer to my question and I am always polite and don't think I deserved the freaking attitude. I don't ever do this, but I hung up on one chick because I could pretty much HEAR her rolling her eyes. She picked up the phone, I said the what seemed pretty usual 'good morning I have a quick question for you'. This was followed by silence (no, sure thing what can I do for you), but ok, I proceed. 'Do you carry live moss'. Her response, after silence is a curt 'No'. 'Ok... well then... do you know of any alternatives (explains purpose) or maybe another place that would carry this. Her response a very rude and sarcastic 'uhh, No'... followed by silence. So I hung up. REALLY? LIKE WTF? MOST other places would have employees which would OFFER, without me having to ask, possible alternatives that they carry in their store or offer some other helpful information/ suggestions... Courtesy is dead. You would think, with the 'economy how it is' that people would WANT business and therefor would be POLITE, you don't even have to be nice I know not to expect too much as people are self-centered and half retarded asshats, but really just a bit of politeness.
On the plus side of life I think I was leaking pheromones or something today... It was creepy, that's all I'm going to say.
I am also working on my 2nd EVER painting with acrylics! It's going to be a present and it's going ok, but taking much longer than I had anticipated, which kinda of sucks as it is a gift and WAY late. :(
