Ether, Part 2

Ether-  (3) the upper regions of space; the clear sky; the heavens.

I always think about this when I'm sitting here, floating around cyberspace, hammering away at my keyboard to nobody. Is it just that all this area isn't really tangible?  I can put my laptop into my bag and carry it around with me, but when I pull something from its depths, it's not like pulling a file from an accordion folder, it's more like plunging my arm into a magician's hat and pulling out whatever it was I was seeking or imagining.  I like that thought.  Magic.

Or is it that being alone in my head, either writing or researching or spying...all this solo adventure...is as close as I'll ever feel to the outer regions of space and the heavens.  I think that may be true too.  My time here is meditative.  As long as I'm not plugged into Bejeweled and trying to beat my mother's high score, or doing the dirty work of finance, my time in the ether is rather restorative.  Makes me feel one with the universe.  Use the force, Kat...  Heh.  Sorry, I really think I made my coffee too strong today.  Alice only has one hour left in Wonderland before she has to go sling drinks for eight hours, so she may as well make the best of it, eh?

It's nice to finally have time for this again.  It's good to be silly.  It's good to wander.  In the word's of Tom Petty, "It's good to be King."
