I found a new little icon to use! Excitement. I never know how to find good ones, so actually, I am kind of excited, in a sad sad way.
Anyway, I've been thinking. This is what I've been thinking: too often I define myself by what I abhor (hipsters, anything too typically asian, birds), when really I think I'd much rather be a person defined by what I love.
So I'm making a list of things that I love. In addition to reminding me of good things in life, they can also serve as good conversation material, because I am so inept in that field that it's probably good to keep a few points on handy. And happy points of passion are always better conversation material than sad/angry/rage points. Or at least, usually better.
Things That Make Me Happy:
.
Baby bunnies. Having a delicious food made for me
. Riding bikes
. Good hair days
. This blog that Katie Fritz introduced me to - it's called ColorMeKatie. And it is too adorable for words.
. Looking through prints right after picking them up from the film developing people.
. Taking pictures and trying to be artsy
. Making a really delicious food for myself
.
Glee!
. Watching Cory Monteith interviews
. Wednesday Glee nights at Rachel's house
. Snuggling into bed with fresh sheets
. Treating myself to a coffee drink on the weekends
.
A Very Potter Musical. Watching an episode of something before bed
. Rediscovering things that you used to think were great, and finding out that they're still great
. Disney movies
. The many shapes of bunnies. I like how they look all squashy and stretched out with their ears flat when they're being lazy. I like how they look like big fuzzballs with wiggling ears when they're eating.
. Singing musical songs out loud when my roommates are out
. Dancing like a crazy person when my roommates are out
.
Wild World. Playing a musical instrument
. Watching How I Met Your Mother with the roommates
. When my room is both tidy and clean
. Watching Jeopardy and yelling out the answers
It's getting late. But hopefully I will continue adding to this list.
