I've finally got a job! And it's not at the movie theater. I am now a gym supervisor, which basically means I sit around in a windowed office and make sure no one burns down the gym. I even get to bum around on the internet when nothing needs my immediate attention. For $11.30 an hour, it's basically the best job. The only downside is the screaming toddlers. And this week I'm also watching my cousin after school because the grandparents are on a trip. Little kids, little kids, everything around me is little...
And then on Saturday I'm off to go take a tour at Awesome College and then Dad and I drive up to other grandmother's and try to talk sense into her, again. She's had her driver's license taken away, so she's not going to be a happy camper. But I'll be floating somewhere in the stratosphere, so whatever. Well, hopefully. I didn't get very good financial aid, so hoping for a small miracle here.
Had an hour to burn between the gym job ended yesterday morning and Vik got out of school, so went out for lunch. Sadly, burger place's fan was busted so the place was full of smoke. One poor worker was holding a napkin to her face. It was really warm in there too, and then they propped the door open so the smoke went out and it was only the tiniest bit chilly. Anyway, I've spent a lot of time watching him play video games and starting to wish I had Wii Sports Resort. Now we're watching Wild Kratts, and he's made it very clear that Martin is his favorite. While the opening was going, he was going, "Yay blue!... Yucky green." And apparently the fact that only male platypi are poisonous is very rude. A flea in a washing machine? Really Chris? And Gourmand's Krattibalism is honestly terrifying. The one good thing about babysitting is that Vik's usually shy cat will happily crash on me since there's just two of us.
I love Wild Kratts. So much.
