Work has been interesting. Things have been reorganized over the past couple days. We have a new neighbors editor, and this one guy is suddenly the sports editor. He spent yesterday cussing quietly at his computer as he tried the figure out how the layout works, then right before I left apologized about it. I told him it was completely okay, and today he cussed slightly louder and added pounding on the keyboard to his repertoire when InDesign crashed. I know I shouldn't be laughing, I really shouldn't...
And then there was when two other guys were talking about a game score, and he said, "I suppose I should care about that now." Meanwhile, the managing editor found two printer cartridges somewhere, so he gave one to Advertising and hid the other in his office for when the one we've been using runs out. Halle-fucking-lujah.
Castle was amazing. If you ever watch one episode of Castle that isn't from season 1 or 2, watch that episode. My opinion of the episode took a long jump off a cliff when one of the suspects starts goading Beckett about her mother's murder, but in the end the superhero plot made up for it. Also, I want to read that fic. The one where two of the suspects have their epic romance in dark alleys and comic book stores. They're so sweet. And adorable. And badass. It's a bit Amy and Rory really, the independent yet broken woman and the sweet guy who falls for her, and they kick ass together.
Despite my disinterest in the show, have discovered a strange obsession for the Glee cover of Midnight Train. Fascinating.
I think I'm going to add rewatch Astro Boy to my to-do list.
