My life is an emotional roller coaster, and that book did not help

So I get a Tumblr and start ignoring LJ. C'est la vie. Not missing much though, just fangasming over Nancy Drew, which kind of came out of nowhere. Then I read Confessions of a Teen Sleuth, and my heart asploded from every emotion ever plus a healthy dose of Nancy/Frank. I'm in a rather giddy, fannish fugue. I think I'm going to go to the second hand bookstore today to see if I can find anything, age be damned. (I'm eighteen! Still a teen!)

I've taken to using Tumblr as a bizarre cross between LJ and Facebook. Things that are too short or nonsensical for a proper blog post, but too fannish for FB. (And I connected with my friends online just in time for the Nancy Drew explosion. They probably think I'm crazy now...)

Also, Lion King 3D? Was not actually expecting that to be playing at the local theater, but it will be. I'll drag Alien or something. Well that's a bit of a bizarre irony. Nancy "It's locked" Drew being the key to letting my inner child out.

Had a bit of a panicky moment at work yesterday. Well, it was sort of all panicky. Suddenly I'm doing a whole lot more than I was before, and I'm freaking out about messing up because this is the newspaper and if I do mess up people are going to see it. They won't know it's me, but they're still going to see it. And the thought of an impending interview was not helping (oh god I need to call him today...).

Looks a bit stormy. Hope it's not raining when I have to go to work.

30-Day Fanfiction Meme:

Day 20: Do you ever get bunnied from other people's stories or art in the same fandom?

All the time. I'll be reading a story and thinking, "What if it went this way?" and then when it doesn't go that way the idea takes hold. I've never written any of these ideas though, which is funny once you think about it. Almost like I respect other ficcers more than the original authors.

oh god the literature, life, meme, stressing out like no other, lol i'm a nerd, and then there was drama
