30-Day Fanfiction Meme: Day 7
Today I learned that after Wickersham and Valentine were friends, they were enemies. Well, not quite; they were both long-time Republicans, then Valentine became a Democrat and Wickersham stopped talking to him.
I know next to jacksquat about these two, but I ship them like woah.
Anyway, found out that UP doesn't have a financial aid limit (as in, there's still monies available for me), and that I qualify for merit scholarship. And the guy I talked to on the phone kept telling me I was awesome, though not in those exact words, so I'm feeling super good about this. We'll just have to see what kind of financial aid package they want to give me, AND I've got the $10,000/year thing from Grandma (which is why I have to be nice to the great aunts oh shit six days). And I'm keeping busy with work, but I'm not getting really excited about any of this BECAUSE SOMETHING BAD IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN AND I DON'T WANT TO BE CRUSHED, BUT IT KEEPS NOT HAPPENING.

And just when I thought my day couldn't get any better, Alien texts me asking if I've broken the Minecraft server yet. Apparently he's back in range :DDDDDD

Day 7: Have you ever had a fic change your opinion of a character?Not really. I mean, I wouldn't be writing about these characters if I didn't have a firm grasp and opinion of them. Though I have gotten a better grasp of them through other people's fic sometimes, with characters that aren't fleshed out all that well in canon. Prime example: Hakuba Saguru. If there wasn't any fanfiction of him, I'd never write him. But other people's fic has gone to the trouble of fleshing him out from just the Holmes-obsessed, Kid-obsessed nerd he is, and in a way that makes sense.
