So Mom lost the cat this morning.
Apparently she's been leaving the front door open when she walks Milou in the morning because Jaime will sometimes come out into the entryway and just sit there. Because apparently she's forgotten what Jaime has a nasty tendency to do when faced with the outdoors, namely freak out and get the hell away from it but not necessarily in the right direction. She probably worked up the courage to leave the house and go into the yard, then panicked and fled.
Eh, she'll be back. And if not for a couple weeks, then we can just tell Dad and Alien when they get back that she turned into a chicken. Because Watson hadn't been laying for a long time, but then about three weeks ago she suddenly started laying again and got really broody. Mom took the first two eggs out, but Watson got all squawky and pissed off about that so we left the third one in and she's been sitting really well. I've even heard her turning it over a couple times. So little baby chick *crosses fingers*? Maybe it'll hatch before the guys get back and we can surprise them. As if the new garbage disposal wasn't enough. The old one dying was just the crowning jewel in my mom's line of failing to cook something for the Fourth of July party.
Every time I remember that I can watch movies on my new computer, it sort of wows me. Not only could I not watch Netflix on my old one, it didn't like actual DVDs either. I had the DVD decoder thing installed, but like the rest of the computer at one point or another it just up and stopped working one day, and nothing I did could get it functioning again. I'm kind of scared of the CD/DVD drive though, because it sounds like that eerie crying sound from the Nether in Minecraft. Yep, Banshee is the perfect name for this machine.
Mutant!Ace Attorney fic is now at 30 pages. Egads. At the rate it's going, I'm guessing it'll end somewhere between 40 and 50 pages. And then there's a sequel being demanded by the plunnies. Damn you Miles Edgeworth and your constantly evolving, overly complicated motives! And besides, Kristoph has to get up to some proper supervillainy. He breaks out of prison in the first paragraph and is never heard from again, though this does set off Klavier's part of the story... which is not actually important at all until the very very end. Chekov's Klavier? (Chekov's piano?... help.)
