If one is dating someone, one generally is aware of this fact, right?
(Because I don't think of them as dates, but Mom keeps nagging me about how often I've been going to the movies with this one guy friend of mine, and whenever she brings it up I start grinning and I can't stop, and it probably doesn't help that I've been ferociously not thinking of the entire subject...)
I started thinking about my mutant!Ace Attorney fic a couple days ago, namely I started generalizing the plot to hero, mentor, sidekick, etcetera, and I realized something: it is some bizarre combination of Turnabout Sisters and Farewell, My Turnabout. So I started thinking about what some of the Phoenix-era plots would be like with Apollo Justice characters, and ran into a snag that's going to keep the plunnies going for a long time: For a straight-up Apollo version of Turnabout Sisters, who would die? Yeah, it could be Phoenix the beloved mentor, but it could also be Apollo, older sibling to the sidekick. It could be Phoenix's first case since regaining his badge, and he has to defend poor Trucy of Apollo's murder. Just... augh, the angst involved. And it could end with a heart-wrenching scene at Kurain Village where they all say goodbye. Hang on, I've got something in my eye...
And see, now I want to come up with potential parallel stories for ALL the cases. This could take a while.
