Feral Cats

Feel as though I need to clarify things about my cats.  They are all feral cats.  It took me a long time to even be able to touch them, then get them trapped and have their shots and neutering.  I have 5 altogether.  The mama cat and the oldest cat surviving from her first litter have both been trapped, neutered and cared for sheerly by trapping.  The 3 inside are only inside because they can get in through cat doors, one that comes in the garage where I keep pedestals, litter boxes, coozie and the like because only 3 will even venture into the house proper through the cat door entry from garage to kitchen.  Mama cat and lil' gray still can't even be touched.  Max, the manx cat can be touched but not held.

I don't know why anyone would think I could keep them indoors when basically I am blessed they will even COME indoors.  If I close off the cat doors, they immediately become like wild cats - jumping and clawing up the curtains, running through the house, spraying, yada yada.  yes, they love me.  Yes, they let me pet them, hold them, etc. but NO, they will not stay inside.

I am amazed at how many of you tell me to keep them inside instead of being grateful I've even been able to get them in the house!  I'm not trying to be sensitive but I am a HUGE animal lover and do the best I can with these original stray cats.  I've placed over 50 some cats in the last 5 years that I've trapped, taken care of and neutered before rehoming.

All the cats I come in contact with are trapped, taken to our vet for exams, shots, neutering and care.  I also petsit as most of you know and everyone nearby considers me to be the kindest animal lover they know.  I would never not take tlc of my animals - whether in the house, the yard or the community!

I've disabled comments here because I'm a tad upset.  Bear with me, ok>?  Velvet is better today, he has some antibiotics and pain meds from his vet.
