the end of Papanui comedy night?
There may be no more stand-up comedy at the Papanui Tavern... how sad. I was on the line-up for November and have probably written enough stand-up for at least three sets. In real time, not kat-time where a 10-minute set lasts 17 minutes.
While I'm on the subject, could anyone give me a ride to the tavern in the near future? Kyrene put aside some of the posters from Wednesday for me. (Andrew, did you get one? I asked Kyrene to put aside more than one in case you didn't.) And also have coffee/lunch with me in a cafe so I don't feel like I'm using you for your car? I will buy your coffee in return for doing me this favor... it's enticing, you know it is... I wish I had a car and money to run it.
New flatmate Lex arrived from New York today... I wonder if she's got many friends here aside from Carl. He really was a bit obsessive about cleaning the house before she arrived... he even put away the dish drying rack. I took it out, and he put it away again and informed me that he doesn't care if it's out AFTER today. he bought her flowers, which i thought was nice but she didn't really seem to care about how clean the house was or the flowers, which I thought was amusing.
They, those people who are experts on stuff, say that complete darkness is necessary for your brain to get a healthy night's sleep. Last night I fell asleep with the light on, I was that tired... got tired and went to sleep today at 3:30 pm intending to take a nap for an hour or so and woke up at about 9:30. WTF?? maybe they are right. I suppose I should be all caught up on my sleep now.
Mmmm. being in Christchurch makes me very happy.
Oh yeah! I FIIIIIIINALLY got my iPod to play videos. All I had to do was update my ipod software. You eeeediot.
