That is totally the kind of thing I came to New Zealand for...

I got in a wetsuit, got in a boat, jumped off the boat and swam in freezing water with the rarest dolphins in the world. It was windy and the waves were quite high. The boat drifted away to let me play with them, and I treaded water hard. They gave me rocks to bang together under the water, and the dolphins came super close. One surfaced right in front of me. They were really curious. So neat.

Then I ate the best fish and chips I've ever had and had some good chats with Petra. It was really sunny and clear and mild, comparatively. What a perfect day for it. I slept on the way home... god I am so tired.

Yesterday, cleaned and tidied my room like whoa. Cleaner than it's been in absolutely ages. Realized as I rearranged my things a bit just how much this room is too small for two people to live in when it's their only space. Sometimes I feel cramped in here with only my things in it. Saw Pirates of the Caribbean 2. I think I'm doing alright with keeping busy. Work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday... early shift... and Thursday, bittersweet goodbyes to Salisbury Street.

Hopefully less bitter, and more sweet.

new zealand, exciting adventures
