FANTASTIC!
We set off at around 9 o clock - there was only one gurl outside waterstones called Bethany, 11. Don’t understand y her parents let her out so late!
So a pathetic three outside waterstones, semi - drunk people walking past, surprisingly NOT shouting : ‘U saddos’ but : ‘Good for u Im getting mine tomoro!’
They had covered the doors with curtains but there was a tiny gap in the bottom, so that we had to lie on the floor to see through. We could see the first 4 harry potter books, but that was all, and all night I kept checking. Gradually more and more appeared, including a man that I thought was a woman, and a geeky collector who kept going on about the films and what the actors had starred in before. There were three lovely gurls we made friends with : Tara, Hannah and Kayleigh and we all got excited jumping up and down together. We took each others phone numbers and vowed to reunite when the 6th book is about to come out. Mathew phoned and by that time about 30 were gathered, so I asked them to say hello and they all shouted hello for him. When I played my ringtone they started cheering which was quite fun! And mad… teehee. We all made predictions and gabbled about it, and me and Tara pressed our ears against the door (we were first!) we heard harry potter music playing and started shouting but noone else could here it! So I let Hannah put her ear to the crack between the doors and to see her face change and her starting screaming was quite amusing. By the time a good few more had arrived, greg decided to phone waterstones. He asked them to let us in and we all started yelling at the phone, and the woman on the phone sed ‘We r inside u r not are u jealous?’ and we started chanting ‘we want harry! We want harry!’ And everyone loved greg, the way he sed ‘yes well I expect u to open now or I will be very annoyed indeed.’ Teheheheheheh!
And at about half 11, (noone else saw but I was closest to the door!) one of the blue curtains moved! I screamed and sed ‘the curtain moved!’ and suddenl;y everyone was trying to pull me out of the way BUT……. I have waited two years so I shoved them all to the side mwahahaha. This youth poked his head round the curtain so he was about 5 inches away from my face and I screamed and pointed and waved. He looked very startled and started laughing hysterically while hurrying away from the curtain. Then a man turned up taking photos.
THEN. The security guards pushed us away from the door and let a few of us in! Ofcourse, they chose me, Greg, Tara, Hannah, Bethany and a drunk bloody ANNOYING bitch of a woman to go in first - then one would be let in at a time, as one came out. So I RAN to the counter, asked them for a childs copy and was the FIRST one out, jumping and skipping and screaming - I was the first to get the book yayayayyayayay! And people started congratulating me (drunk kingsway people I think) ‘Were u the first? Oh well done congratulations!’ etc, and when Greg came out we ran to the end of the queue which was all the way to moniques (very shocked because we hadn’t moved from the door, and so hadn’t realised how big the queue was getting)and shouted ‘look! We were first!’ hahahah evil. Got our photo taken buy a random man. Loved it. Well worth queuing from 9! Excellent. Now Im off to read the thing. First chapter is rather disappointing,. But hopefully it will get better. The book was also only 11.99 bargain!
