my house is falling apart. my house is falling apart. hi hoe the derry oh, my house is falling apart

oh i wish we had moved when we were looking at houses a few years ago.

so for the last 3 days, it's been just mea nd my sister in the house. and the house decides to fall apart on me. first, the garage decides that it wants to develop lots of cracks in its foundation and floor and allow water into my house. but before i realized this, i had spent a few hours trying to get rid of the water, but for some reason it never seemed to really go away. and then i saw the bubbles along the wall and on the floro and realized taht water was slowly seeping into my house. and so then i spent some time bringing up lots ofantique furniture. oh joy.

and then, my washer decided that it felt like keeping the water inside of it rather than drainign it, and that it wanted my cltohes iside to go swimming in the pool it created in itself. then it decided to leak all over my bathroom floor, reminding me of the leakage int he garage below me. i treid a dfifferent pile of clothes, only on the spin cycle,, thinkign perhaps something had been off about the first load; perhaps it was off balance or something, but the washer still really liked that water and wouldn't let go of it.

next, the dryer rebelled. i dried to dry the clothes off that had been sopping wet from the washer but the dryer decided it didnt actually feel like doing work. so whle it made the noise as if it was working, nothing was actually happening on the inside. it did this for two hours before i realized that it was playing a trick on me. even when i tried a different setting, thinking maybe the washer just didnt like the setting i had put it on, it acted out.

and so now i have two loads of wet, soapy, dirty laundry on my deck, and a whole bunch of twoels i used in the garage hanging there also.

the dishwasher and stove also decided to not be cool. the dishwahser decided not to go through the last part of its cycle, so the dishers came out very very very wet, and the stove decided to burn the cookies i was making (that one may have actually been my fault...)

oh i also accidently drove intot heparking garage at the airport this mornig in trying to pick up my dad becuase i missed the turn into the arrivals/departures area and freaked out.

so on this lovely thursday afternoon, i have almost none of my laudnry from school done yet, a bucnh of dirty wet laundry, burnt cookies, no way of doing the rest of my alundry, no clean underwear except for two pairs i really hate but i'm just gnna have to wear, blisters on my hands, not to mention they're feeling very dry and not so smototh, no room to walk in the dining room because of all the antique furniture, only one couch avialbe in the livng room because the other is full of stuff, and no ice cream. oh, i also forgot to mention the ant attack that occured last night. oh, and the last disc of dawson's creek season 2 has not arrived yet from netflix; it was supposed to get here on tuesday.

BUT. i did get to drive my mom's saab around, i ate egg rolls and hot and sour soup, i've slept later than 9 every day, i've gotten to watch plenty of freinds, that 70s show, boy meets world, and will and grace, i ate a pint of ben and jerrys, i cleaned the bathroom, i unpacekd all the rest of my stuff (pretty much), dan helped me unpack on monday, and we spent a lovel yfew hours together last night eating and driving and chilling, and i've played plenty of the sims. over all,its been a good alast few days, with many a frazzled momemnts.

outlook for the next few days: figuring otu wahts wrong witht e washer/dryer, cleanign out the garage and reorganizing it, getting to finish my laundry, going to petals and cream, hopefully hanging otu with people either tomorro or saturday, church on sunday, i kinda feel like goign shopping, getting work to do from my dad that i'll get payed for, being gernally productive, more tv watching and sims playing, and visiting danswan for a few days up at the lake :-).

i enjoy life. it's pretty sweet.
