I found this ad for Lärarförbundet (the teachers' union) and was moved to tears as I remembered some awesome teachers I've had. Even looked up one of them on Facebook and sent the link to her. I think I've come to appreciate the awesome ones even more now that I'm working in a school and know how freaking hard it can be to do things right (and how far off base
The title/tagline translates to "Everything starts with a good teacher."

Speaking of teachers, one of the substitutes brought Nepalese fair trade clothes to the school yesterday, and I bought a dress. Well, dress/tunic, there could be an argument made for either, but it fits as a dress and I wore it as one to the end-of-term party that night.
Which also means I shed my traditional winter fur; I don't tend to shave my legs, but I make an exception for dress-wearing on hot days, because the alternative just makes me way too self-conscious.
My love for this dress is great - I nabbed it very early on and called dibs as soon as I'd made sure it fit. I got several compliments on it and one of the principals commented, "I thought the clothes were so ugly when she brought them, but that really looks good on you!" :-)
On a fannish note, when I took it on after the fur-shedding, I thought, "If I were Amy Pond, I could wear this with sweaters and people would claim I was oversexualized." Which I think was because my legs felt so naked without the fur, while I still had the top covered - much like how Amy dresses.
I tried taking photos, but the purpleness of the purple doesn't show very well even with edits; either the light was messed up or my camera. So try to imagine a more vibrant colour (or image google "purple") when you see this.
