...and I am floored. Who'd have thought that the "classics dressed up as high school comedies" genre still had the capacity to produce something this good? It's smart, it's funny, it has a great big heart and a moral that doesn't make me grind my teeth. (I'm not sure if I'm anticipating or fearing the reaction from the Christian right!) I'm a bit too attached to Imogen Stubbs to care much for Amanda Bynes as Viola, but if you like her, she's in this film too.

Oooh, genderbendy things I haven't seen! I'm nuts for that stuff. Thank you so much for the tip! Did you see Zerophilia? That one melted me completely, and the girl playing the protagonist in his female body was great.

Hi again! :-) Just finished seeing the film. What I liked best about it is that the class analysis is actually more important than the gender analysis - that's an angle I can't remember seeing in another identity switch film. (Though DWJ has hints of it in The Ogre Downstairs.)
