Thanks! And of course I had to use Lilo & Stitch, she's the president of the galaxy! Plus totally awesome. :-)

Mrs Bennett FTW! :)

I missed President Laura Roslin from Battlestar Galactica. She is made of awesome. A lot of the women in BSG are. And Kara Thrace (although she is too young for this vid) even redefined "action babe" into something quite interesting (and incredibly hot).

:-) !

Yeah, what I've seen of Roslin is awesome, and I did consider her, but I've seen too little of BSG to feel I "know" her properly as a character, so in the end I went with more familiar characters.

I just remembered that Kara Thrace is played by Katee Sackhoff, whom I first saw in The Education of Max Bickford, which is another show full of awesome middle-aged women. Seriously, playing Kevin Bacon with these people is very rewarding.

Oh, this is amazing! I didn't know everyone, but by the end, I was shouting names, and cheering! Mrs Bennett! Donna! Jackie! Ellen! Doctor Cuddy!

I don't think I realised, until I saw so many of those faces all together in this vid, how important these characters are to the shows I love, and how much I'm drawn to them.

Thank you! Name-shouting is definitely something I aspired to encourage. And I'm glad I managed to reinforce their awesomeness in your mind. (I wouldn't expect you or anyone else to know all of them. Some are quite obscure! I do hope people will be tempted to watch some new stuff, though.)
