I went on a shopping spree today (note to self: next time, don't start by buying 11 glassware dinner plates and having to haul them around town) and among other things bought a new headset, since Daisy chewed through the last two.
Coming home, I checked if anyone was on Skype, which naturally no one was. Could be because I only have three contacts. Are any of you on Skype, and if so, can I have your usernames so I can practice my English? *g*
Anyway. Microphone and no one to talk to. What to do?
The answer was obvious: I downloaded some sound recording software and made my very first podcast.
I chose No Beloved Sister, since it's short (500 words / 3.13 minutes), and since the main character is a Swedish girl - that way my voice and accent won't be distracting. I hope. Though boy, my accent really was HEAVY on that recording. :-)
I tried a couple of different recordings, and this one's the best, even though it still has some stumbles and too noisy Ps.
So. Here ya go, if you want to hear my voice:
No Beloved Sister podcast (MediaFire, 2.58 mb.)
If you'd rather have another story podcasted (since this one is written for a tiny Swedish fandom), just let me know and I'll give it a try. Though perhaps not if you suggest one of the 40,000+ word stories. *g*
(Edit: I replaced the MegaUpload link, since it wasn't working for some reason.)
