sharing the fannishness over JDB and Ellen Page, and asking for Wenham/Bean porn

I realized the other day, right after making that post on America Ferrera, that the reason I felt so ready to jump any movie star coming my way, especially if they were hot and hispanic, was because I was ovulating. It doesn't happen every month, but sometimes a burst of fannishness coincides with that time of month, and I end up building pretty castles in the air that consists of me and a whole lot of movie star nookie.

Which is also the reason why - after having watched about a season of Zorro in a row - I dug out my copy of The Dancer Upstairs, cut away everything that wasn't Juan Diego Botto, and then cut away most of what was left until I had six minutes of sheer fan service. He plays a total dog in that movie, which means pretty much every other word out of his mouth is an obscenity.

Here, have a YouTube video of Juan Diego Botto being hot and saying dirty, smart-alecky things for six minutes.

And before you wonder what kind of guys my 14-year-old self was into, he was obviously nothing like that on Zorro. (As for his acting self, I've tried to watch interviews, but A) my Spanish is beyond rusty and B) I keep getting *cough* distracted, so all I can determine is that he's a leftist activist, that he chooses interesting roles, and that he comes off as intelligent. Which, combined with previously mentioned monthly cycle, was... uh... well. More than enough.)

And while I'm in insane rambly fangirl mode, I saw Juno yesterday.

I'm even more in love with Ellen Page that I was before, and that's saying a lot, because I thought I was as in love as I could be after ReGenesis, and then I saw Hard Candy and loved her more (while being seriously skeeved out by her character), and now I'm so very much in love I can't express it. It's good to know that while the male talents of Hollywood are busy dying, the female talents are building up. (Seriously, when the GG nominees for best actress in a comedy or musical are "four people I love and one I haven't seen", that's promising.) She was so great - she managed to sell Juno's immaturity and brattiness while still making her a loveable character.

On another note, please tell me I wasn't the only one who cried at the scene with Vanessa in the hospital! axa always teases me for being so sentimental, but that was touching, y/y?

Also, anything with Allison Janney is good, always. :-)

I can't really describe what I liked about this movie, there are too many little things. In short, I can say one thing I really didn't like: the soundtrack. It was severely sucky. Everything else was of the good.

I was bitching a bit with jadelennox about how just the sheer FACT that there's Nathan/Claire/Peter fics written makes me all growly. (I started bitching about all the ways that was out of character, she bitched back, and then stopped in the middle of it asking why we even bothered - it was like arguing against the people who claim the earth is flat. Which, point.)

The conversation then led on to various other kinky stuff, until we reached the point where I suddenly imagined David Wenham and Sean Bean play-acting a Boromir/Faramir BDSM scenario, but being unable to finish because they laughed so hard. (I think it would be David's idea, but I'm not 100% sure.)

I want to read that fic. Unfortunately, I don't particularly want to write it, because since I'm not that into RPS I don't feel familiar enough with the "canon" needed.

Any RPS writers out there who can help me out? *bats eyelashes*
