book festival randomness

I've spent the past two days at a book festival here in Lund. The downside is that I get a bit tired during two whole days of lectures and book talks. The upside is that I get to hear lots of authors and other smart people talk about books, and I get paid for it ( Read more... )

Fattig bonddräng is one of those songs I find myself singing all the time, and every single time, without doubt, when I get to the last two verses, I always tear up! I saw Tommy Körberg sing it live a few months ago, and oh! He does it so brilliantly. I love the voice he uses for God.

I think it's my favourite Astrid song... Even if I do love Sjung Du Min Dal from Bröderna Lejonhjärta.

I haven't seen Bröderna Lejonhjärta as a film, so my only experience of that song is singing it myself, and it fell a bit flat, I'm afraid.

I think my favourite may be the Wolf Song, but there are a lot of good ones - usually the ones that haven't been sung to death. :-) (Though some of the ickily well known ones are great too, like Mors Lilla Lathund.)

Sjung Du Min Dal - http://www.sendspace.com/file/0kim3m
The actual song doesn't start until 2.15 in, or so.

The Wolf Song is gorgeous. All the music from Ronja is, really.

*g* What? You can't possible mean that Ida's Sommarvisa has been overdone?

Mors Lilla Lathund is fun! I have a weakness for Sjörövar-Fabbe, too.

Thanks! *downloads*

Isfält ftw. Though I guess that's a bit mean to say after I've just seen Riedel. (Riedel's great too - I think the songs are much better when he does them himself.)

Well, considering that I still can't get over the thought of a Linderman LKBV vid to it, I probably shouldn't. :-)

Sjörövar-Fabbe is cool! I once heard it played in 3/4, that was fun. (Instead of pam-para-ram-pam pam-pam-paah, it went pam-para-ram pam-pam-pam, if that makes sense.)

He was an incredibly funny guy. He also told us at length why baths are scary (the water sneaking up to strangle you, etc), so I think he enjoys freaking people out.
