I just found a blog that was really fucking nasty to my dad. Of course, it seemed to be really fucking nasty in general, but that's not a lot of comfort.
What bugs me isn't so much that bloggers hate him, but that they hate him for having opinions that they'd only have to think for a second to find out that he doesn't have. But their heads are so far up their asses they can't understand the basic difference between explaining a position and sharing it.
And if I never hear of That Trial again, it will be too soon. I mean, Jesus, one testimony sixteen years ago, and I'm willing to bet that 99% of them have never even read it, they just listen to the random quotes spouted out by jerks who are already on their side. It's like he has his very own Godwin's Law - in any internet discussion, sooner or later (and often in the very first few paragraphs), someone will bring it up. And as usual, they have no ability to differentiate between "person X says that person Y thinks" and "person X thinks".
But even so, this was a low point. "It's just a question of knocking him out before he can pull the pin out of his grenade belt"? Jesus H Christ.
