Starting with a quote from Jan Berglin's Far och jag, which I ordered from akademibokhandeln.se and then forgot about until it arrived. My translation:
Son: What's the meaning of life, Dad?
Father: No idea! Maybe to support our local grocer.
Son: But if there's no meaning, it doesn't matter if you live or die!
Father: Hey, no, whoah! There's lots of fun to experience and things to do!
Son: Like what?
Father: Well... like throwing yourself in that pile of leaves over there!
Son: Get a grip! The meaning of life can't be to throw yourself into piles of leaves!
Father: I came up with piles of leaves. Now you figure out the rest for yourself. I'm not some curling-parent!

Finally some action on the job front - I got a call from Älvdalen and they wanted me to come for an interview. Fun bit is that Älvdalen is a tiny little place halfway through the country, so I have to take three trains and two buses to get there.
My mom came with the brilliant suggestion that I call my cousin who lives in the same county (and whom I hardly ever meet) and ask if I could live there. Cousin was very very enthusiastic about it, which is more than I would have been with just a week's warning. She even pointed out that they have an empty room now that their eldest has moved out. (All my cousins are way older than me, thanks to dad being the youngest just like me.) So now I can take three trains, sleep over, and then take two buses, which is definitely a better option. Plus, I get to see my cousin and her family.
If I get this job (pretty big "if"), I may have to look into getting a driver's license.
Still. Am kind of excited.

One problem is that I still haven't been able to get my graduation diploma. The fact that I already have an Master degree is causing trouble for me, and I can't even get a LADOK paper (basically just telling what classes you've taken), because the website says my department should handle it and my department says I can get one from the website.
I have a feeling the university isn't made to handle people who want to leave.
