A lot of you answered my poll on French kissing - thank you! After 28 votes, ten of you have replied that French kissing is as good as or better than in the movies. Ten more have said that it's fun by overrated. Eight have said it's either gross or boring. Interestingly enough, of the ones who said "boring" (which would have been my choice), three are Swedes like me. Maybe Swedes are just easily bored?
Quite a few of ou have replied in comments that it depends on who you're kissing - i.e. a good kisser makes a lot of difference. So I guess i shouldn't give up just yet.

A while ago, one of you uploaded a zip files full of Ferris Bueller screencaps. I downloaded it, and now I've chosen the eight I'd like to make into icons. Problem is, I've forgotten who it was who uploaded the screencaps in the first place! Can the person responsible 'fess up so I can give credit where credit is due?

I've heard a lot of women say that all their male friends are gay. Thinking about it, I came to the conclusion that none of my male friends are gay. Sure, I have a lot of male gay aquaintances, but the guys I actually care about, talk to about things, they're all straight. Granted, one of them is stereotypically gay in every way except the man-loving part, but still, straight.
Of course, there was one guy at the gay students who was great fun to talk to, but he hasn't showed up in the past two years or so and I haven't kept in touch, so while he's definitely gay, he probably doesn't qualify as a friend.

Now for the Angel stuff.
Padma, her boyfriend Marcus, and I spent most of Saturday finishing season 2. Sunday, I then got to see "Lineage" (and recorded it too). In short, first I got to see Wes bleed, then be all tough and leaderlike, then angst, shoot and throw up. Yay! I wonder if one reason I'm so fond of the bloke (apart from the intelligence and the ambiguity and the stubble) is that he attracts pain like a big pain magnet. First there was Faith torturing him, then the office blowing up, then the zombie cops, then Justine, and then (though I haven't seen it yet) the finale. And that's not even counting Birthday. When he's not in physical pain, there's the emotional stuff rolling off him in big waves: third wheel angst, prophecy angst, "my friends deserted me", "my girlfriend is evil", "my evil girlfriend is dead", "my non-evil girlfriend is also dead", and when all else fails, the honest-to-God, Joss Whedon-trademarked "daddy doesn't love me."
Seriously. The guy is like a Greek Tragedy in human form.
A downside to Lineage, though - a downside to season 5 altogether - is that I really cannot stand Gunn anymore. Ever since he donned that suit and crammed his head full of paragraphs, he's been insufferable. Part of the problem is, of course, that very few people look cute in business suits. But it's more than that. He's becoming a lawyer. The once-charmer is now pompous, slick, and smug, and I want to hit him over the head, because he reminds me of Gavin of all people. That is just wrong. If he was channeling Lindsey, or even Holland, I might be able to take it, but noooooo, he has to sound and move like the most annoying piece of lawyer trash ever. *sigh*
I'd go on rambling, but my class starts in two minutes, so I won't. Stay tuned. :-)
