I'm back!

Calling in to let you know that I'm back from Stockholm pride. Those of you who speak Swedish can read what I've done at stockholmpride.org - if you're interested, drop a note and I'll tell you which of the articles are mine.

For the rest of you, to put it briefly, I've been going around on seminars and parties with a camera, and on my time off have been watching movies with my friend Nina. Oh, and we went to the Aquarium once, that was fun.

Another thing that's fun is that my full season of "Dead Like Me" has arrived. I've watched three episodes so far, and I'm loving it to pieces. It took me about two minutes to fall in love with George - when she sassed that career counsellor I was sold. And she's really cute as a button, too. I always claim that girls IRL are much prettier than girls on television, but this one... oh, my. There should be more like her.

Then I got to see Mason, and it took me maybe another minute to fall in love with him too. (I give a mental squeal every time he steals something.)

So now I have two characters I'm in love with, and normally I suppose this would be an occasion for pairing them off, but for some reason I don't want to do that. George and Betty, maybe - I'm not in love with Betty, but she's nice enough, and George did ask her out to dinner, which made my slashy heart happy. But not Mason.

I don't know why. Maybe it's because they get along a little too well - all characters I can think of that resemble Mason (Doyle, Spike Thomson, Wizard Howl, Han Solo) have been into women that argued with them most of the time. So George/Mason doesn't fulfil my genre expectations, or something. :-) Just a hypothesis to how my strange brain might work.
