Moominmamma is a smart lady
I bought the Big Moomin Book yesterday for no particular reason at all except that I saw it and instantly wanted it. Am now reading it during my off hours, and adore the following conversation between the little dog Ynk and Moominmamma from one of the Moomin comics:
"No, no! I don't dare to show myself. Someone could guess my life's horrible secret!"
"And what kind of a horrible secret could such a cute little dog have?"
"It's that I - that I only like cats!" (next pic) "But what is a dog to do if he only likes cats?"
"Don't they like you?"
"I don't know, I've never dared ask."
"Go to sleep now, Ynk, and don't worry. I'll get you a little cat to play with." (next pic) "Why does he take things so tragically? Cats or dogs... when the only important thing is that you like something at all."
