There isn't a law as far as I know. The two employees who let him back there DID get written up from it so they did get in trouble for letting him touch the tills, especially after the tills came up short and I told everybody "Do not let anybody off-shift touch the tills unless it's Lori." Lori=Manager
He may say we're trying to frame him, but we caught him on video being the only one to handle the money from till to safe, convieniently be not-facing the camera while holding money from all three tills, and be the only one to touch the safe, putting the money in there.
You see, he took only 10s, 20s, 50s, and 100s. He left us only 1s and 5s. We saw him on camera take money out of the till and can clearly see there was money in the spots for 10s, 20s and 50/100s. He was the only one to touch the money that night from till to safe and when he touched the till, there was definatly 10s, 20s, 50s/100s in the tills.
The video shows him being the only one handing the money after it left the tills and went into the safe. Nobody touched the money or the safe until I opened the safe in the morning to do the books.
Luckily, we have the video and not just speculation. Without the video, we wouldn't have proof he was even there, much less touch the tills.
